What is MSK Academy?MSK Academy is a clinical training platform for manual therapy professionals. Our courses teach advanced, hands-on techniques, including Tetherwork™, to assess, test, and treat dysfunction through the nervous system, vascular system, and connective tissue. Every module provides in-depth manual therapy sequences and instruction to get you working immediately.

Do I need to be licensed to take your courses?No. While our programs are designed for bodyworkers, chiropractors, physical therapists, and massage therapists, many of our students come from fitness, yoga, or health coaching backgrounds. It depends on your country of origin and the rules that apply to you. We do not check your license or manage this. You’ll get full support at every level.

Is there a certification?Yes. Our advanced courses include a certificate of completion and may qualify for CE credits depending on your state or licensure board. We do require live class attendance and testing for certification. Each module, if it includes certification, will clearly outline the requirements needed to earn it.

How are your courses different from other bodywork trainings?We use objective testing before and after each technique to confirm results in real time. What is Tetherwork?Tetherwork is a hands-on method developed by MSK Academy founder Steven DiMarino. It targets fascial, neural, and vascular restrictions by creating tension points between two anatomical structures. It reads the body's communication system to tell you what to do, guiding your treatment decisions in real time. It is the first objective test-and-treatment system in manual therapy, allowing immediate feedback through changes in muscle tone and autonomic shifts. The treatment protocols are simple and work extremely well.

Are the courses online or in-person?We offer both. Our core programs are delivered through high-quality, on-demand videos. Live seminars are offered for deeper clinical refinement and one-on-one mentoring.

Do you offer refunds?Do you offer refunds? There are no refunds. Once course materials are delivered electronically, you receive full access. We do not offer refunds because the content can be downloaded, copied, and retained, making it impossible to reverse access.

Is this evidence-based?Yes. While not based on peer-reviewed publications, this is a brand-new form of manual therapy, and we include all the greatest classic techniques. Our methods are grounded in anatomical dissection, neuromechanical principles, vascular mapping, and decades of clinical experience. Tetherwork is testable and reproducible using changes in autonomic tone.

Can I use this with my existing modalities?Absolutely. Our approach enhances and integrates easily with chiropractic, osteopathy, craniosacral therapy, myofascial release, and movement therapy.

Do I need prior experience in anatomy or manual therapy to get started?Knowledge in basic anatomy is useful but not required. We do not teach the muscles and bones, these are considered foundational knowledge and will be up to you to learn independently. No prior manual therapy experience is necessary for our foundational programs. In fact, we find inexperienced students often easier to teach. We guide you step by step through our testing and treatment protocols; however, some outside study will be necessary for success.

Can I join at any time, or are there enrollment windows?You can enroll at any time. All courses are self-paced, and live classes are scheduled regularly throughout the year.

Can I watch the courses on mobile devices?Yes. All video content is mobile-friendly and accessible through any device with an internet connection.

Is the content downloadable?In most cases, videos are streaming-only to protect course integrity, but handouts and resource sheets are downloadable for your reference. However, you have lifetime access, so there should not be a need for downloading.

Can I take the Neural Reset training without the other courses?No. Neural Reset requires prior training in Tetherwork, as it is the key to locating trauma in the body. The method demands in-depth anatomical knowledge and the ability to navigate the body's internal systems accurately. Understanding Tetherwork principles is essential for the successful application of Neural Reset. Treating trauma is delicate and requires live instruction. Please check the prerequisites for this class carefully, as it is only taught live and is not available as a standalone online module.
